Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Dromedary Camel Stifle

چکیده
The objective of the present investigation was to develop a high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) protocol for assessment dromedary camel stifle region and describe normal MRI appearance by comparing images with their corresponding anatomic slices. Twelve cadaveric hind limbs were obtained from 6 clinically sound adult camels without limb lameness. Cadaveric stifles scanned 1.5 Tesla system using T1-weighted, T2-weighted, proton density gradient echo short Tau inversion recovery sequences in 3 planes. After imaging, frozen at – 18°C 2 weeks, then sectioned sagittal, dorsal or transverse Optimal different planes evaluated correlated gross Descriptive findings articular cartilage, subchondral bone, cruciate ligaments, menisci, menisco-tibial menisco-femoral long digital extensor tendon, patellar ligament reported. described this study provided high spatial contrast resolution osseous soft tissue structures joint. Data could be used as reference standards evaluation clinical situations.

Magnetic resonance imaging of the equine stifle: normal anatomy
Introduction: The equine stifle is a complex joint that may be the site of equine lameness, but diagnosis of pain can be frustrating using standard imaging techniques. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the equine distal limb has led to improvements in understanding of lameness pathogenesis. Until recently, MR imaging has been limited to the distal limb, but recently the use of MRI for clinica...
متن کاملMagnetic resonance imaging of feline eye
The purpose of this study was to investigate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the normal feline eyeand optic nerves using T1-weighted and T2-weighted images. A total of 6 healthy female domestic short haircats age 2-2.5 years and weighing 3.2 ± 0.4 kg were selected. Magnetic resonance imaging data werecollected using GEMSOW (Philips) at a magnetic field strength of 1.5 T. Dorsal, sagittal, a...
متن کاملSoftware Tools for the Analysis of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has become the most popular method for imaging of brain functions. Currently, there is a large variety of software packages for the analysis of fMRI data, each providing many features for users. Since there is no single package that can provide all the necessary analyses for the fMRI data, it is helpful to know the features of each software package. ...
